BUP Law and Moot Court Club, a dedicated club for research and mooting, is a platform maintained and administered by an enthusiastic and proficient ‘Executive Committee’ comprising undergraduate students from the Department of Law, Bangladesh University of Professionals. It was established in the year 2018 under the Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies with a holistic vision to incubate, groom up, and foster the latent talents of the students with a view to generating future leaders in the legal arena. BUPLMCC, with the support and prudent guidance of the Moderators and the Faculty Members of Dept. of Law facilitates and organizes various events throughout the year i.e National Law Fest, Conducting Webinars, Law Debates, Intra Moot Court Competitions, etc. This club is carrying out the legacy of its yearly publication named “Learned’ which contains dynamic and scholarly writings from both the students and the teachers.

The vision of this club is to incubate, groom up, and foster the latent talents of the students with a view to generating future leaders in the legal arena.

Mission

To enhance the capacity of the club members in curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities through active participation in events accordingly.

To assist the club members with exploring and pursuing their goals in the legal arena – To build up a network between and amongst the law schools as well as the law and moot court clubs around the country and the globe with a view to exchanging knowledge, ideas through events and webinars.

To establish this club as a symbol of excellence in the mooting circuit both at the national and international levels.

To encourage and facilitate the members to participate in social welfare works. – To create and maintain acquaintance with legal professionals as well as leading professionals from other disciplines to learn and earn beyond the horizon.

BUP National Law Fest

BUP National Law Fest is one of the significant flagship event of BUPLMCC. BUP National Law fest is a remarkable platform for celebrating different facets of law and legal education while also promoting the mechanics of learning law to legal aspirants. Despite the fact that law is a vital aspect of our lives, it is rarely celebrated. BUP National Law Fest gives the opportunity to law students nation wide to analyse both sides of complex situations as well as to devise the best solution based on robust reasoning and critical thinking while enjoying it.

Future Leaders Summit

Future Leaders Summit is one of the pioneer events of BUPLMCC. As much as BUPLMCC focuses on the development of skills of a student, it also aims to shape the leadership quality in a student and encourages one to embrace his leadership quality. Following that BUPLMCC’s flagship event Future Leaders’ Summit 2019 aims to recalibrate the mechanism of leadership,art of speaking and logical thinking. From enhancing leadership skill,way of thinking and speaking to receiving extraordinary workshops Future Leaders’ Summit promises an experience like never before.

Intra Moot Court Competition

BUP Intra Moot Court competition is one of the annual flagship events of BUPLMCC which intends to familiarize the courtroom experience, as in, procedures, manners and etiquettes and to broaden the knowledge of legal academia. It offers opportunity for the law students of Bangladesh University of Professionals to hone their skills and gain expertise in different aspects of mooting.

LawRencia

LawRencia, a career boot camp organised by BUPLMCC, focuses on organising sessions designed to evaluate the prospects, interests and backlogs of different career opportunities. Distinguished professionals from different legal career background enshrine the panel. LawRencia is envisioned to remove the disadvantage of knowledge gap that the law graduates face when they enter into the competitive fields. Also, tries to ensure that everyone acquires a good understanding of their personal interest regarding choosing a career. It is also estimated to happen every year.
